Those types of ‘repair’ treatments rely on high heat tools to create a surface-level, clear coating on the hair to appear shiny and smooth. While there are minor benefits from some added ingredients, the bulk of the chemical formula is activated by high heat and known toxic irritants.
The vapours released during the chemical heating process (glyoxylic acid and formaldehyde-related chemicals that fundamentally create the smooth effect) will release toxic airborne irritants in the process.
Regardless of popularity, the North American industry standard is to not fully disclose risks while performing services without adequate protection (such as full-face gas masks, industrial ventilation, and isolated treatment rooms).
Given the toxic and complicated process, it does not align with our values of wellness and we strictly decline those services.

For lengths, we combine biomimetic formulas and heatless hardware to restore strength, elasticity, and luminosity in each strand.
